This is pretty cool. Seriously, if you’re a US citizen and don’t vote… well, if you’re a citizen of any country and don’t vote out of choice, you’re a bum and I don’t understand you.

If voting solved problems, the rich wouldn’t have the majority of the wealth and world-wide poverty would have been resolved long ago. Voting is a kind of circus put into play by those who wish to distract those who wish to vote from effective solutions.
Voting does not necessarily solve problems and in many cases makes them worse. Consider that it was and continues to be the majority of voters who have demolished fair taxation of the wealthiest. People often believe that they’re making the best, most rational choice to benefit themselves while in fact—as demonstrated by the measurable consequences of the past century—serving the interests of those hostile to their lives.
Voting would work if people acted as ideal rational economic agents and we lived in an ideal economy. We neither act as ideal rational economic agents nor do we live in an ideal economy. People—especially in the US—are overwhelmingly ignorant, greedy, and punitive.
Scientists discover by carefully peer reviewed methodological experimentation, data collection, and analysis that humanity is causing global climate change. When policies to cope with this globally are put to a vote, people in general don’t understand or accept the findings of the scientist. Many subvert, misuse, misrepresent, or ignore the scientists’ findings. In effect, people become hostile to effective solutions in favor of short term and personal gains.
Your imaginary world doesn’t work the way you think it does.
